IncontraDonna is an Italian nonprofit Association, which promotes breast cancer prevention at a national level.
The association’s key activities are: information campaigns, scholarships for specialists in breast cancer oncology and, above all, support programs for women who have undergone breast cancer treatment.
IncontraDonna is an Associate Member of the International Senologic International Society and is interested in collaborating with the Scientific Society, in order to bring support programs to local breast cancer nonprofits in Eastern Europe, Africa and South America and to spread the culture of the prevention.
We are putting forward two annual prizes (February and September) of €5000 each. A specialized committee will award The “IncontraDonna Pink Ribbon Award” to two projects chosen from the candidacies (submitted by January 20th and August 20th respectively).
Aside from the project itself, candidate Associations will have to submit their statute, along with a photocopy of the current President’s I.D.
It will also be necessary to specify the length of the project (beginning and end) with the possibility of a commission member taking part in the last day of activities. At the end of the project, the award-winning Association will send a written report with photos, which will be posted on the IncontraDonna and the International Senologic Society’s websites.
Below are some examples of projects which could be financed:
-Make-up courses during chemotherapy
-Rehabilitation of the operated arm
