S.I.S.INVITATION TO HOST THE 18th, 19th and 20th WORLD CONGRESSES OF S.I.S.

S.I.S. is soliciting bids for the 18th  (year 2014), 19th  (2016)  and  20th  (2018) World Congress of the International Society of Senology  that should take place in rotating Continent venues.

The S.I.S. World Congress is held every two years and should take place in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

THE PROPOSAL SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ISSUES:

Location.

Time period: the duration of the Congress should be 3-4 days.
Estimated date.
Convention Centre must have adequate facilities for Conferences,   Workshops, Presentations, Posters, Discussing rooms, Exhibition area and Food facilities.
Hotels with adequate quality and, preferable, proximity to the Congress venue should be selected. Different categories and prices should be offered. Distant Hotels should have shuttle bus with sufficient frequencies between the Congress venue and the Hotel.
Transportation: public and private facilities should be easily available.
Flight connections must be accessible from anywhere in the world.
Organizers:

a) an International Scientific Committee, that will coordinate the Congress content, will work with the Local Organizing Committee and with the SIS Board of Directors

b) the International Scientific Committee should be appointed after the venue election in order to collaborate in the scientific program development. It should include persons with a demonstrated activity and capacity vithin S.I.S.

c) a Local Organizing Committee, will elaborate the Congress Program, and preferably should have previous experience in similar activities. This Committee will coordinate the Program content with the International Scientific Committee

Budget Proposal: a detailed budget must outline expected revenues and expenses.

Social events for Congress participants, including accompanying persons, and Tours  should be offered.

Publicity: adequate and with sufficient anticipation, publicity should be disseminated directly, through the S.I.S. web site and any other mean available to the Organizers.

the Congress Organizing Company should have demonstrated and sufficient expertise in Meetings organization.
the Official Travel Agency should have experience in International events and financial benefits for the Congress trips.

ONLY  S.I.S.  ACTIVE  MEMBERS  ARE  QUALIFIED  FOR  BID PRESENTATIONS.

S.I.S. Active Members must be in Due for a formal bid for the Congress venue.

Continent rotation for the Congress venue is desired.

As an exception,  the S.I.S. Board of Directors and the S.I.S. General Assembly could authorize to repeat a S.I.S. World Congress in the same   Continent.

The proposal must be presented to the S.I.S. Board of Directors within 2-4 years before the Congress date.

The Congress brochure could be presented personally in a Board of Directors Meeting or delivered, previously, through the Secretary General or Executive Director.

Potential conflicts with other National  or International Meetings should be considered before date selection.

S.I.S. Board of Directors could require additional information whenever needed in any issue.

Congress revenue would be distributed according to article 23 of the S.I.S. By-Laws.

PRIORITY SEQUENCE FOR VENUE ELECTION

SIS Active Members that present a Bid for a World Congress of SIS should have to establish their preferential option for each of these Congresses, according to the following table:
