Prof Carole Mathelin, MD PhD, is President Elect 2024-2026 of the Senology International Society (SIS).
She is head of the surgery Unit at the Strasbourg University Hospital and ICANS (Institut de Cancérologie Strasbourg Europe). She is University Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Strasbourg (France). She organizes each year the University Diploma of Breast Diseases, under the auspices of the International School of Senology (ISS).
In addition to her surgery and teaching activities, she contributes to fundamental research programs within the UMR 7104-U964 team of the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology of Breast Cancers.
She is in charge of the Senology Commission of the Collège National des Gynécologues et Obstétriciens Français (CNGOF) and She is vice-president of the National Academy of Surgery and responsible for the feminization of surgery. She has published about 200 international works. She is also very involved in the associative world, in particular in breast cancer patient associations.
